After 10 years in one of the most powerful jobs in fashwan, Carine Roitfeld has announced that she will be leaving French Vogue in order to concentrate on her own projects. (Could she have been influenced by her close friend and longtime collaborator, Mr Tom Ford who recently set up his own ready to wear label?)
The French Vogue website has just broken the news. Jonathan Newhouse, chairman of Conde Nast International says, “Carine has marked the history of Vogue Paris with her incredible talent as a stylist and editor,” and added, “She will be missed.”
From the sublimely perfect to the ridiculously unlikely, we want to hear your predictions for who could possibly replace her in 2011.
