The bride wore Marchesa, the guests were celebs, the vicar was from Run DMC (our personal favourite detail), and there was definitely a performing elephant present. Yep, this weekend LA saw the marriage of Nicole Richie and her long-time boyfriend - and the dad of her two children Harlow and Sparrow - Joel Madden.
The guestlist, and apparently it was ruthlessly kept short (to about 130 people) DID include the groom's twin brother and Good Charlotte bandmate Benji Madden; DJ to the stars Sam Ronson, as well as Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale. Rachel Zoe and her husband did attend although Paris Hilton was nowhere to be seen.

The setting for the nuptials was the grounds of Dad-of-the-bride Lionel Richie’s mansion in LA, with tents, battalions of caterers, and the aforementioned elephant, (a trained one that would be safe to have in your garden). Oh, and the rings were from jeweller to the stars
