Without wanting to sound all ‘American Psycho’, there is something important about having a really good business card. Now we’re not talking about the thickness of the card, embossing or the exact millimetre size of a font, no, we just mean the pure aesthetic of it, that will lead someone to keeping it, and calling us one day – you know, just for a chat.

To be honest, the Grazia business card just didn’t say Grazia, and it needed to. So we thought we’d tap the huge talent at Central Saint Martins art school, to see what they could come up with for us. And while you may think that art students would have a bonkers approach to a project like this, we were very impressed with their professional approach to a commercial project – honestly, there wasn’t a business card made out of human hair or anything!
Anyway, from super simple designs, to clever folded devices, through sleek layered numbers, we were spoilt for choice. But we whittled it down to the very Grazia, very clever and very stylish (naturally) design by Julia Monsell (above). You never know, you may be lucky enough to be handed one of these beauties in 2011, but in the meantime, cast your eyes over the brilliant entries from the BA (hons) Fashion Communication and Promotion 2nd year students. Massive talents, every one of them!
