Alexander McQueen’s special posthumous Award for Outstanding Achievement in Fashion Design was accepted last night by the new Creative Director and former right hand woman to McQueen himself, Sarah Burton.
Rather than give a long speech, she graciously accepted the prize which was presented by Samantha Cameron saying; ‘It was a pleasure to have been able to work with Lee, thank you’
The main tribute to the late designer came in the form of the short fashion film created by Nick Knight along with Edward Enninful with a mournful soundtrack by Bjork
