Alexander McQueen’s second line McQ is back in business! And, according to McQueen CEO Jonathan Akeroyd, it’s ‘a little more edgy’ this time around. We’ve got the pics of the first collection by new head designer Pina Ferlisi and we like it. True to the McQueen ethos, there are historic touches, like a lace up jacket, or a mini dickie bow to go with a gothy white shirt and velvet knickerbockers, throughout an otherwise commercial collection aimed at a younger, funky customer.
Nahce. Also, and handily for those younger shoppers, the price points have been re-aligned too. (It was previously licensed to an Italian manufacturers but has now returned to the control of the McQueen company) On average, the brand will be 25% cheaper than in its last incarnation. Good news all round! Yay!
