Well, of course we all know that Christmas wouldn’t be Christmas without a load of festive ads. Posh perfume, Coca Cola, M&S with Take That and, of course, the GAP. Jingly Bells, pristine knitwear and blinding white teeth all put us in the festive spirit, as we watch TV and put off buying our presents 'til the last minute. That's not even mentioning the print campaign on posters and in stores. This year the GAP graphics are starring . . .ta-DAAA! Queen of Style Blogging, Susie Bubble!
Yep, she's all styled up and looking very sweet. Susie was apparently thrilled to have been in the shoot with photographer Craig McDean and stylist Karl Templar. She very modestly commented that she felt grateful for ‘being in a wholesome Gap Holiday campaign whilst being an unwholesome Brit who isn't really conventionally attractive in the way that I think all Gap ads seem to convey (that's not self-deprecation btw - merely truthful observation)’ Ah, bless.
Susie’s participation meant GAP donated over £6000 to her chosen charity, which is Shelter
If Susie Bubble can overcome her façade of achingly cool underground fashionista, decked head-to-toe in vintage and designer one-offs from secret sample sales to being wrapped up in fake snow, saying things like ‘Play down the crazy, dial up the cosy...’ then we can all get clicking on there . . . or something like that . . .
