Kate Bosworth is, like, a major fashion hero in the Grazia office. We don’t think we’ve ever seen her in a dodgy outfit. We’ve not dug into her past, but we reckon the china-doll-like actress could even have possibly been a stylish baby too. Designers love her, the red carpet loves her and we think her past week or so of outfits have been particularly spectac – so we love her EVEN MORE. Who knew it was possible? Bosworth’s best trick is to pick key fashion forward pieces (she’s already wearing next season pieces before anyone else) and just keep things simple. No OTT hair or makeup, little sign of accessorising (she must agree with Anna Dello Russo that handbags maketh a fuggles outfit) and well, she always goes for something pretty rather than anything too edgy, mannish or bonkers. She doesn’t feel the need to wear hotpants and high tops and for that, we are thankful. Let us talk through the looks…
Ahh, the lace. So pretty, so striking. This very on trend shift is from Erdem S/S ’11 and we like those slightly clashing silver heels. Such a fussy dress looks great with an up ‘do.
Another flash forward to next season here, with Jonathan Saunders’s gorgeous nude skater skirt (shape of next season, peeps) with a luxuriously beaded chiffon tee. Kate knows that all those neutral shades together could do with a colour pop – enter turquoise heels…
Kate sums up the new, more grown up and sophisticated mood at Chloé, so this little A-line shift from the current Cruise collection is a perfect match. Subtle gold pumps bring out the detailing on the waist of this frock. A*, again.
Proenza Schouler duffle coat is like no other duffle – this one comes in a gawgeous print. And those cat eye sunnies! Nice. What a casual-cool way to travel in style.
Chanel, classic, understated. And hits the statement earring trend on the bullseye.
Another Proenza piece for Bosworth here, this time it’s something much jazzier! Those clashing fluoro stripes from the spring/summer collection for 2011 could be a real mind boggler, but Kate keeps it under control with all black accents.
Cobalt dress + tan accessories = a marvellous idea.
We really like the chunky knit with floaty skirt combo. Kate sticks to her signature pale shades and balances out her full skirt with heels.
