Last Saturday, Style Hunter was moseying around the East End looking for fashionable weekenders and remembered that Hermès had created a pop up store at the Rochelle School of Art in Shoreditch. The pop-up space (complete with gold horse balloons – love!) was dedicated to their latest campaign – J’aime Mon Carré. It’s all about how you would style up a classic Hermès scarf (with a little expert help from the scarf stylists and their clever flip book of folding and knotting techniques).
Inspired by all of the be-a-u-tiful Matt Irwin snaps of fashionable Hermès-scarf-wearing girls he photographed across the globe, I was more than keen to get my own stylist to work their magic. So, what style to go for? Belt? Fabric bracelet? Napkin head? Oh, the decisions! I was rather jealous of a 10-year-old’s pirate-inspired, wrap-around headscarf but opted for something a little more grown up - a turban-like band in a bright orange pony print. Yum. Goes well with the lipstick, yah? Turns out that the most popular style in the hipster venue has been the Lady Gaga-ish big bow. You can find your own favourite (if you haven't already) as the store moves across town to Ledbury Road this Thursday 23rd November. And guess what? You even get to walk away with a little photo souvenir. Heart warming winter stuff - thank you Hermés.
