Joie de vivre! Just when Grazia Daily thought we couldn’t possibly get any more excited about getting our mitts on the Lanvin for H&M collaboration, Alber Elbaz hosted a brilliantly bonkers extravaganza in New York last night. And WHO was on the catwalk?
Yes! None other than Anna Dello Russo!
Gorgeous couture versions of the collection (which hits stores in FOUR sleeps, people!) paraded down the catwalk on the backs of ADR, Dree Hemingway and our very own Pixie Geldof. The editor of Japanese Vogue, who's made no secret of her lust for the pieces, looked oh-so-fabulous swathed in bubblegum pink puffs, leather gloves and fishnet stockings, almost being upstaged by the preened poodle which strutted beside her (we said almost).
An androgynous Dree and Pixie paid homage to Mr Elbaz himself with their sharp suits and oversized bowties, while Lindsey Wixon was dressed as a Halloween-esque bridegroom in a top hat and blazer. Genius!
Of course, there were flirty, fun frocks galore – from a fouffy red dress to a breathtaking version of that chiffon number you saw Jaime Winstone sporting in this morning’s episode of Grazia TV (watch it here!). Is it any surprise we’re literally starry-eyed with the amazingness of it all?
But the glamour wasn’t restricted just to the catwalk. Sofia Coppola, Anna Sui and Emma Roberts were perched on the FROW, no doubt drumming up their wish lists. "I think Alber Elbaz is great. I love what he does at Lanvin, it's so girly and playful and confident,’ said Sophia during the event at the Pierre Hotel. ‘It's so cool he's working with H&M, it makes it so accessible to all kinds of young people to be able to afford it and wear it.’ That’ll be us, then.
So, as if you need any more incentive, be sure to get yourselves down to H&M to pick up your own piece of Lanvin’s Parisian chic when the 48-piece collection arrives on November 23. As we may have mentioned before, WE. CAN'T. WAIT!
