Last night the eyes, ears and noses of a few lucky guests (including Grazia Daily! YAy!) were treated to a truly revolutionary and AMAZE concept! Oh yes. The spectacle we didn’t even know we were waiting for! The Ralph Lauren 4D light installation, which was projected on the same day in New York, at the brand’s flagship store at 888 Madison Avenue and the venerable 1 New Bond Street shop.
It featured 3D models, the emblematic polo ponies in 3D, 3D handbags and ties – AND a truly fourth dimensional element – a spray of the brand’s new fragrance to smell! Yikes! David Lauren, who we managed to grab for an interview, (above) describes it as a whole new fashion phenomenon – Merchentainment. Yes, it’s an advert for the brand, but such an enormous, flashy advert that it also classes as entertainment! Got it? Good. Now watch the video of the spectacular event itself to re-live the wonderfulness at the comfort of your own desk. Ta-daaaaaaa!
