Robert Pattinson declined a $1 million Burberry campaign!

09 November 2010

If Christopher Bailey came knocking, asking if you’d like to be the face of Burberry’s campaign, you’d say a big fat YES, right? It certainly worked wonders for Emma Watson who looked divine swathed in a luxurious trench and shot by Mario Testino for the A/W ‘09 campaign. And what a coup it was for Rosie Huntington-Whiteley when her luscious locks and bee-stung lips landed her the job earlier this year.

So it was with a ginormous gasp that we heard Robert Pattinson – he of the mouth-watering handsomeness – declined a $1 MILLION deal to model for the Brit brand. Er, is he craay-zee? Sure, he isn’t short of a few pennies but we can't help feeling his chiseled features, pretty pout and ruffled hair would be the perfect fit for Burbs. According to a source, R-Pattz is ‘an actor by trade and that's his art. He doesn't want to start becoming a brand or anything.’ Dammit!

Of course, Grazia Daily respects his decision but please bear this in mind, Pattzy – we would sell our right Manolo for the sight of you trenched-up, George Craig style. But for now, all we can do is dream. And mourn the most beautiful Burberry campaign that never was...
