H&M Homeware: GO!

03 November 2010

Grazia Daily had a fa-abulous time at H&M’s Oxford Street flagship branch last night, where the Swedish retailer launched their H&M Home Collection for UK shoppers. Yay!

Along with Grazia Daily, Sophie Ellis Bextor, VV Brown, Savannah Miller, Jaime Winston and Roisin Murphy came along to enjoy the champagne and nibbles (mini shepherd's pie and apple crumble  = yum) and grab some goodies from the new range. Sophie, Roisin and Jaime looked amazing in the soon-to-be-released Lanvin hearts H&M collection.

Basically, the home collection is exactly what you’d imagine from H&M; bold and bright prints with a young, trend-led feel alongside some reassuringly expensive-feeling linen cushions and bedding with vintagey French-style prints.

So what did Grazia Daily buy? Well OBVIOUSLY we went for the vintagey, French style linens (printed cushions, tea towels and useful-looking containers) as well as some boudoiry floral cushions and towels with colourful hand-drawn style prints. We almost bought a poodle print shower curtain which our boyfriend would have LOVED, but thought better of it at the last moment.

The best bit, though, is the awesome process of shopping itself, which is like a super-luxe version of IKEA. Basically, after checking out the showroom, you grab a virtual basket (ours were gold, yah?) and magnets which represent each of the products. Then take the mock basket to the till where the staff grab them from the warehouse. Seriously; it’s geeeenius.
