To celebrate the just released 3D fashion film KM3D-1, Kate Moss has revealed her favourite things to AnOther Magazine and one of them is THIS (almost certainly awesome) book; Geek Love by Katherine Dunn. The book was shortlisted for the 1989 Nation book awards and is a tale of ‘freaks, geeks and other aberrancies of the human condition who travel together as a (dysfunctional) family circus.’
Just to highlight this, the narrator is a character called Olympia Binewski, described as a ‘hunchbacked and bald albino dwarf’. Love it already.
Those of you au fait with Kate Moss’ reading lists will be aware that she tends towards classic literature, ‘Fitzgerald, Oscar Wilde, Evelyn Waugh, all those classics’ she once said. A statement that has utterly and shamelessly influenced the book collection of Grazia Daily.
Naturally, therefore, we’re heading STRAIGHT to Waterstone’s to bag us some Geek Love and we expect you to do the same please.
