And the live X Factor Fash-Off continues…

We love it when A-listers use their high profile to bring hot new fashion designers to a new audience. And that’s exactly what Cheryl Cole did on Saturday night when she wore (above, left) a draped nude silk jersey maxi dress with cut out detailing – by HMH Couture, the label by virtually unknown young designer Hanna Marie Hutchison, who recently graduated from the London College of Fashion.

And now, the dress is available (to pre-order for December delivery), exclusively online at Designer Desirables, for a mere £415.

Meanwhile, for the second weekend in a row, Dannii Minogue was wearing Victoria Beckham (the designer is rumoured to have offered to dress Dannii for the rest of the series) – choosing a chic bright blue sleeveless tailored dress (above, right), with a twist-detail neckline, worn with nude Brian Atwood “Drama” pumps – we love neutral shoes worn to accessorise with a bold colours.

The following night, Ms Minogue road-tested a new look – the retro-sexy prom dress (above, left), in a black and white floral print, from Dolce & Gabbana’s resort 2011 collection, worn with black platform courts by Charlotte Olympia, and a totally Scarlett Johansson tousled bob. We like this change of style for Dannii. Although we think she suits sleeker, more minimalist styles better.

No pretty-pretty 1950s styles for Cheryl – she worked a futuristic body-con look on Sunday night (above, left), in a white and silver one-shoulder leather mini dress and black strappy ankle boots.

But ultimately, the judges’ outfit that stole the show (no, we're not talking about Louis Walsh’s impression of a ventriloquist’s dummy), was Chezza’s stage gear for the live (?) performance of her new single “Promise This”.  She wore a white sharp-shouldered tuxedo jacket with black glitter beading, over striped stocking-style tights, a glittery bodysuit and black ankle boots…
