Fashion photographer extraordinaire, Patric Shaw – creator of many a shoot for various New York glossy mags and well known on both sides of the Atlantic has shot the likes of Kate Moss and Liv Tyler. Now he’s turning his attention and his lens onto the likes of . . . err YOU! i.e non model folk! (if you ARE a model, I’m afraid you’ll just have to stop reading this now).
That’s correct, Patric is planning to shoot the portraits of the first 100 people outside the National Theatre on London’s South Bank on 18th October. They will then receive a copy of their image and then see it projected onto The National Theatre that same week. Great! We say. Say the organisers;
‘It’s part of a wider campaign to give real people their moment of fame, instead of the focus always being on celebrities’ And all have have to do to get involved and potentially become famous for a few minutes, is be at London’s South Bank on the evenings of 18, 22 and 23 October and look out for the Aviva Big Picture Pop Up Studio - their roving photographers will be looking for people to snap. If you can’t make it to London on the big day, simply upload a photo to youarethebigpicture.com, or submit a Facebook snap at facebook.com/aviva, and for each photo uploaded, Aviva will donate £1 to Save the Children via its Street to School programme.
Sounds like muchos fun to us!
