ANNA DELLO RUSSO MODELS FOR GILES AT UNGARO!

And you thought the model-casting (Kelly Brook, Abbey Clancy, Verushka) for Giles Deacon's own-name collection earlier this season was an eye-opener... But the designer, (with a little help from stylist Katie Grand) pulled out the big guns for his Ungaro debut this morning, by casting the ultimate fashionista, Japanese Vogue's Editor at Large Anna dello Russo, to model his Spring/Summer 2011 collection.

Okay, so she didn't have to walk on an elevated catwalk. The eccentric Italian took a leisurely stroll around the grassy indoor garden space, holding a fluffy cuddly sheep; 'he's called Funbongo' she told Grazia Daily (excellent). With her head wrapped in a delightful Heidi plaited 'do, ADR's embroidered sheer bodycon dress was one of an endless stream of ultra-feminine designs for Giles' new Ungaro.

We'll be writing a full report of the collection later, but we wanted to show you some sneak peeks of the show...

Oh, and this isn't the first time Giles has persuaded a major fashionista onto the catwalk. Just a year ago, Daphne Guinness modelled for his Spring/Summer 2010 collection in a lime green minidress with a black tarantula brooch in her cleavage....
