After the wildly bright excitement of Christopher Kane’s S/S’11 offering, I expected backstage to be equally lively - full of cool girls colouring each other with marker pens and techno music blaring out or some such. But no, after Kane’s super-efficient team quickly packed away the collection straight into a van (I want to know where that van went!), Tammy, Kane’s sister and design partner (wearing the Autumn / Winter 2010 leather embroidered mini-skirt) sat and chatted animatedly to the team and the aftermath was calm, collected and emptied of adrenaline. No après-show party, no mega-celebrations, Christopher simply wanted some family time and he looked - as to be expected with the creation of such a genius collection – really bloody tired. Bless! After pulling together the a-ma-zing clothes in just a matter days (he admitted it’s been a tough season), with plenty of late nights, an endless string of interviews post-show, and everyone bursting for the toilet (where was the darn toilet?!) Grazia was pleased to have to chance to catch up with the man of the moment, find out all of the deets of his Princess Margaret on acid inspiration, what he really thinks of trends and most importantly, which TV shows he’s watching!
