Party report - Kate has a belting time!

27 September 2010

Just when we thought there couldn’t be any more London Fashion Week parties, another one cropped up last week to launch the W Insider belt, which we couldn’t miss out on (especially when we heard that Kate Moss was attending.)
And we weren’t disappointed. W Hotels threw the lavish bash in association with American Express for menswear designer James Small at London’s 1 Leicester Square.

The celebration was to mark a collaboration between W Hotels and James who has designed a limited edition belt which will be sold exclusively at the much anticipated W London when it opens in 2011, and features in a seven minute film, Journey, shot by the designer himself, Tom Beard (Jaime Winstone’s new squeeze) and Ms Moss’ musician fella Jamie Hince.

Despite Mr Hince not actually making it down to the screening of his own film, (he was busy recording with band The Kills in Chicago) many of his and Kate’s bezzies made it down with Sadie Frost, Agyness Deyn, Pixie Geldof, and Florence Welch all in attendance.
But Kate wasn’t interested in hanging out with her usual posse after spotting Pineapple Dance StudiosLouis Spence on her arrival. The pair were glued to one another’s side all night, and heroic Louis even jumped to Kate’s rescue when she slipped off her chair during the screening of the film! They spent the rest of the evening sat crossed legged on the floor and gossiping outside on the venue’s balcony.

Meanwhile Jaime Winstone couldn’t stop gushing about her new boyfriend, telling Grazia Daily: ‘I’m so proud of him.’
And Agyness showed off her new Mohawk hairstyle as she caught up with her pals Pixie and Florence.

Take a look at Journey, which centres around four boys, including models Jack Guinness and Louis Simonon, here
