FROW Best Dressed: Milano Has Begun!

23 September 2010

The Brit pack may have been out in force for London Fashion Week but Italy has bagged the top notch fashion editors. Yes, Grazia Daily turns our FROW-watch to Milan Fashion Week where Wintour, Roitfeld and, er, Zoe arrived yesterday for the kick-off. So while we were catching all the action backstage at Gucci (check out our insider report here), this is how it looked front of house...

After her Milan mini-break last season, Anna Wintour was ready for the fash action from Day 1 (phewf!). And to begin her third fashion week on the trot, the US Vogue Editrix sported a delightful blue ensemble consisting of clashing prints, and those signature shades. As for her French equivalent, Carine Roitfeld sidled up to Anna wearing sumptuous nudes and funky lace-up trousers for that rocker edge she’s become so famous for. What a pair they make!

WOW! We pity the poor person who sat behind Anna Dello Russo. The Japanese Vogue fashion director stole the FROW show thanks to her striking dress adorned with teeny strawberries from Yves Saint Laurent’s S/S ‘10 catwalk, brilliantly accessorised with oversized cherries balancing a-top her head. Oh, how proud Tavi would be...

And finally, here’s a vision in red in the form of Rachel Zoe. She stayed wrapped up despite the sweltering heat with a buttoned-up and belted suede coat perfect for autumn winter. But what of the A-list schlebs, we hear you ask? Well, we do know George Clooney and Megan Fox are planning on gracing the Armani show, but we need more glamour for the MFW FROW, please. C'mon dahlings, hop to it!
