No matter how much we love popping round to both the Marc Jacobs and Marc by Marc Jacobs stores in London’s burgeoning Mount Street – to browse through the rails but also spot the oh-so-hip sales assistants - we were delighted to hear that an e-store is to launch on Monday. An edited selection of ready-to-wear and accessories, as chosen by Marc and his business partner Robert Duffy will be available to start with and the design does not disappoint. Sticking with the New York label’s quirky and fun outlook on fashion, and life, and avoiding looking like a slick mega-brand, the home page features an illustrated storefront, complete with windows playing the latest show videos and actual sales assistant avatars – of real employees - that will change over time! Our spot-the-hipster just got a whole new life online!
