Some good news! (We think) Supermodel Stephanie Seymour and her billionaire husband Peter Brant have called off their divorce after more than a year of legal wrangling, which has resulted in some pretty unsvoury accusations of infidelity and drug use, and has generated more than 12,000 pages of divorce documentation. Eep.
In spite of this, however, Seymour and Brant appeared together in a Connecticut court this morning and announced that they wanted to call off their divorce after having reconciled. In court, Seymour simply declared that she wanted ‘peace’ from the hearing.
As one of the most celebrated models of the 80’s and 90’s, Seymour was one of the most high profile of her generation and an icon for young women, not least as a result of her relationship with Axl Rose, who she famously ‘married’ in the Guns 'N’ Roses video for ‘November Rain’.
After separating from Rose, Seymour married Brant, a billionaire publisher who owns over 2,000 works of art including what is believed to be the largest privately owned Warhol collection in the world. Seymour, meanwhile has continued to work on selected campaigns including Mario Testino’s shoot for Salvatore Ferragamo’s A/W ’07 collection and is an avid collector of Azzedine Alaia (he designed her wedding dress and she calls him ‘Papa’.)
Being a bunch of romantics at heart, Grazia Daily is delighted that Stephanie and her husband have reconciled after their seemingly final separation. All together now: awwwww.
