We love vintage – so unique! So personal! Oh, the quality. And the history! But…. are we speaking out of fashion turn here when we admit that sometimes (especially on hangover shopping days. Those bad boys are the worst) we’d rather shop somewhere sleek and calm and glam than in some smelly old jumble shop, where you might find a fifteen-year-old half-eaten sandwich in the pocket of a pair of trousers. Sorry. But it’s true.
Anyway. That’s why we’re a bit obsessed with Lily Allen and sister, Sarah's, new vintage retail concept, Lucy in Disguise, which promises to be the calm, fun antidote to moth-ball-based shopping stress. Let’s hope the shop really is as stylish as it looks to be in this, a behind the-scenes look at the making of the first Lucy in Disguise film. Gorgeously styled by Lily and with an awesome offbeat-retro soundtrack, the video also sees the sisters compete in a ‘walk-off’ using the new Playstation Move game, TV Superstars, which is to modelling what singstar is to, er, singing – a game you can play, exclusively, at the Lucy in Disguise store before its UK release. There’s also a Grey Goose bar there, FYI. Joy! Plus, no rogue, half-eaten vintage sandwiches anywhere.
