Sofia Coppola Wins Venice in Vuitton!

It was just last week that Grazia Daily was at the Venice film festival, chatting to Sofia Coppola about her chic style. We were impressed to see the director promoting her new film ‘Somewhere’ in an array of modest ensembles, including a similar tailored shorts + minimalist shirt combo that she sported on the set of her latest Dior ad. So clearly Sofia was saving THIS beautiful number for the main event:

What a wowzer! Still effortless and understated but with a little more frou-frou, this frock is the perfect choice for a winning director. Yes, ‘Somewhere’ won the top Golden Lion prize at the festival and Sofia swathed herself in the glorious blue and green floral print to pick up the award. Of course, as a bag designer for Louis Vuitton, Sofia stayed loyal to the brand - and her close pal Marc Jacobs - by wearing a creation from the Resort 2011 collection, topped off with a simple black belt, matching clutch and those LV peep toe wedges she’s been wearing all week. Indeed, the brilliantly poufy and colourful dress is a welcome surprise from the lady who usually sticks to black and wore flats to receive her Oscar (GASP!). So we say congratulations Ms Coppola, what a triumph!
