Lady Gaga's McQueen moment may have stolen the show, but that doesn't mean the rest of the glad rags from the MTV Video Music Awards will escape Grazia Daily's fashwan attention, oh no! So without further ado, let's get stuck into the event's Best Dressers...
Oh Florence Welch, how we love you and your Machine! The songstress churned out another corker, staying true to her vintage vibe courtesy of this gold lace Givenchy by Riccardo Tisci Couture floor-sweeper, nipped in by a satin corset and embellished with crystals. Oh so elegant...
Is that an extra from 'Strictly Come Dancing?' Oop no, it's just that crazy Mrs Brand-to-be. Can you believe that Katy 'chameleon' Perry only wore ONE dress to this year's awards? Yes, shocking. But luckily it was an absolute stunner from Marchesa's A/W '10 collection. The frock plays up to the tattoo trend with black sequin embellishments that cascade from K.Pezzle's shoulder, past that white layered skirt, and onto her thigh. What a saucy minx she is! We're loving the rainbow hair to add a touch of colour, too.
Ashley Greene went head to head with Katy thanks to her dose of black on white. The 'Twilight'-er paraded before the flashbulbs in this gwageous Giambattista Valli frock, sexed-up by a lace overlay on the bodice. Nice work, girls.
Rihanna avoided the red carpet call but stomped on stage for a sultry peformance of 'Love The Way You Lie' alongside Eminem. Those brilliant lace-up boots and the sparkling headband provide a rocker edge to her frothy tulle skirt and naughty cropped bustier. We're liking the look but give us a smile, love.
As the hostess with the mostess for MTV's Red Carpet Report, Grazia Daily couldn't WAIT to see what uber-model and newly wed, Coco Rocha would be wearing. And doesn't she look graceful? Unsurprisingly, Coco turned to Zac Posen - her longtime designer pal and the man behind her wonderous wedding dress. In fact, this black gown is almost identical to the bridesmaid version Charlotte wore in the first SATC film, especially with that fishtail hem. Hm, wonder if Coco's wearing jelly shoes under all that chiffon..?
We hop onto Ciara who made like Florence by turning to Givenchy Couture by Riccardo Tisci for her grand enterance. And she sure wowed us with that glorious ostrich feather skirt, which brings a welcome twist to the usual MTV fare.
And for the press room shenanigans, our Florence was back with yet another Givenchy by Riccardo Tisci stunner, accessorised with a heap of gold necklaces. One glitch, though: as much as we're liking the black silk chiffon, which works perfectly with Flo's goth-glam vibe, that knit harness around the waist looks a tad uncomfortable, non?
You may joke that it looks like Ke$ha's wearing a rubbish bag, but in fact she actually is. No, really. The singer took homeless chic to a new extreme by DIY-ing the plastic fantastic ensemble from, yes, binliners. “It’s not like I’m going to go into the garbage with crusty food on it," she said. "All garbage is not equal.” Ok, dear...
Hollywood actress Rosario Dawson was an unexpected arrival and thankfully brought an air of sophistication against Ke$ha's trash with this sleek curve-hugger made of blue leather, paired with green heels for added interest.
And finally, we bring you 'The Hills' girls, who kept things fresh and sparkling in their usual bling-tastic way. While Audrina Patridge dazzled in a silver Isaac Mizrahi number and Lo Bosworth shimmered in gold brocade from Gabriela Cadena, Stephanie Pratt opted for some full-length glamour with her embellished Nicole Miller maxi.
So you've seen the goods and now we want to know what YOU think of the outfits. Thumbs up or thumbs down? You tell us!
