The Best Dressed List: Who's wearing what on the NY FROW!

Alongside all the frock-watching at New York fashion week, Grazia’s got our beady eye on those A-list FROWers. From the usual suspects (we’re talking to you, Olivia and Whitney) to a few unexpected arrivals (hello Grace Jones and Kelly Rowland), the FROW battle has officially begun! We’re expecting Chanel bags at dawn...

DIANE KRUGER

We begin with the girl who sets the bar for her fellow fashionistas. Diane Kruger rocked up to the shows in support of her longtime pal, Jason Wu (she’s donned his frocks for Cannes, the CFDAs and SAG awards) and chose an demure sheer frock with an embroidered bodice and bang-on-trend hem length, before swapping it for a funky red mini and brilliantly cool lace-up boots when hitting the tiles with Prabal Gurung.

Also trotting about the city looking red hot – and very matchy-matchy - were Brit model Poppy Delevigne and super stylist Caroline Sieber. Don’t you just hate those ‘oh, you’re wearing that too?’ moments?

Next up, it’s Rachel Bilson trotting about the town looking, well, pretty darn fabulous! The teeny actress was flanked by an entourage of, like, a gazillion assistants (well she is the Style Director for Sunglass Hut, y’know darlings) and Grazia Daily is very happy to see her pulling off a pair of leather shorts with such ease. Good on yer girl!

Oh yes, you can always count on good old Olivia Palermo and Whitney Port to bring their trademark dose of polished City chic to the show shenanigans. While Olivia was looking sharp in khaki at Peter Som, Whitney went for a blinding concoction consisting of a structured ivory frock teamed with a ruffled jacket – we’re loving the matching lippy and shoes, Whitters.

Kelly Rowland brought the funk to the FROW when she nailed two rocking looks at the Jen Kao and Georges Chakra shows yesterday. Um Beyonce, who?

FROW favourite Leigh Lezark was doing what she does best: black. Those killer heels are the perfect way to bring an edge to her ruffled LBD – or how about a statement necklace for some added interest? We say, yes please.

And of course, we leave the best to last. Yes, it’s the inimitable Grace Jones and her wacky wardrobe. But although the singer was naturellement sizzling at the Alexander Berardi with that snazzy snood and hat combo, her formal black suit keeps the ensemble pretty tame in comparison to her usual fare. Well wonders will never cease...!

So who’ll be next to grace the FROW? Surely those Gossip Girls are waiting in the wings somewhere..?
