A Week in the Style of…Red Heads!

10 September 2010

If there’s one thing everyone in the office agrees on, it's that right now, red hair totally and utterly rocks. And we’ve noticed that with fantastic red hair comes a certain quirky and rather enviable fashion sense too. Maybe there’s something magical that red hair does to an outfit to make it look cooler – or perhaps it’s the fact that red is one of the colours of the season and goes pretty nicely with all of the other trendy hues like khaki, gold and shades of grey. Or, it could just be that the ladies you’ll see below literally have style oozing out of their every pore – red hair or not! Feast thine eyes on the flame haired beauties below and if you don’t feeling like reaching for the henna afterwards then we’ll eat our hats!

Karen Gillan – quite a few cutesy little outfits this week. The highlight? Her autumnal rusty lace dress from DvF. Of this, we approve muchly. And no doubt she outshined everyone else at the TV awards.

Karen Elson – proving that red heads can wear those tricky nude shades just as well as anyone else. Her 1970s retro dress could be mistaken for a nightie, but by adding a black belt and heels she keeps well in glam evening-wear territory and not pyjama time.

Coco Rocha – Coco has also picked out a peachy shade to woo the paps. We like this cheeky little ruffled jumpsuit – especially with some grown-up tan court shoes.

Vivienne Westwood – the Queen of the Redheads, no less. Viv’s wild hair and even wilder ways looks quite tame in her grey-on-grey ensemble.

Julianne Moore – the lovely Julianne can always be relied upon to mix things up a little. This shift dress is totally in tune with the 60s vibe on the catwalk, but her boots make it feel of-the-moment.

Florence Welch – trusty fashion darling Florence never fails to look effortlessly cool. This week it’s all about making your summer dress work in such changeable weather – she nails it with a little black waistcoat, fedora and middie vintage courts.
