GAP and Valentino designers to collaborate!

NEWSFLASH! Collaboration alert! As if we weren’t spoilt enough at the prospect of Alber Elbaz of LANVIN running up frocks for H&M this coming winter, we’ve JUST heard on the wire that GAP has persuaded Valentino designers, Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pier Paolo Piccioli to get on board with a range. Say the design duo;

‘We are very pleased that Gap thought of us as a partner for this important project, as it brings together the iconic world of Valentino and Gap's fashion essentials. In this way, Valentino and Gap synthesize the current trend of combining luxury with basics.’ Hear hear.

Is it us or are GAP particularly on fashion fire at the moment? First of all they set their amazing trouser range loose on us unsuspecting shoppers, then there was their latest collection of Pierre Hardy shoes (we haven’t even had a chance to buy the lace up wedge peep toe grey ankleboots we’re dreaming of yet because they’re not out till October) and now - Valentino!

No peek at the garms as yet, but we’re assured that come late November, Gap’s new Milan flagship, plus Colette in Paris, Dover Street Market in London and Gap’s London flagship store will all be overrun with fashion girls, desperately elbowing each other out of the way for the (no doubt,  gorgeously feminine) dresses and blouses!
