In this week’s lovely issue of Grazia you will no doubt have spent quite some time poring over the super-stylish pics of the best dressed ladies Style Hunter found at Vintage at Goodwood festival. Somehow, in between stopping over 120 fashionable vintage-istas for the great Grazia Wall of Style, we found the time to discover a stall called Lalka.
Set up by sisters Katie Rose Whiting, 25, and Alice Harriet Whiting, 22, we instantly fell in love with them, their cute style and the gawgeous clothes and accessories they had on offer. And this is why; the girls have always been inspired by their dressmaking Polish Nana (who was also a massive hoarder of clothes, shoes, furniture and homeware) but after she sadly passed away this year they thought what better way to celebrate such a stylish granny than by sharing her wonderful archive with other ladies who love vintage too! Soo sweet. With the house half burnt down and some rooms so crammed with goodies they could barely start their rummage through Nana Regina’s home, but they managed it just in time to set up their first ever vintage stall at Goodwood. One that Sophie Ellis Bextor and our fine selves couldn’t get enough of!
Problem: Style Hunter is a size 36 shoes, Nana Regina was a 38. Big shame. But you can find out everything about the girls in this video below and keep up with them and their future vintage ventures (and new items like their cool crystal berets!) at houseoflalka.blogspot.com.
