We all know that Mulberry is the master of chic accessories. It’s no secret that their gawgeous handbags have fashion editors utterly obsessed and the fash pack buying in bulk. Grazia Daily previously (ok, enviously) noted that Kate Bosworth became the Queen of Coachella thanks to her Leah bag, while Scarlett Johansson’s permanent attachment to that squashy Hayden of hers had us seriously hankering for our own. But this week, the leather goods have seen more A-lister mileage than a pair of Houlihans. Every day a juicy new picture lands on our desks of yet another fashionista flaunting their must-have tote. Here’s the proof for your perusal:
First up, we spotted Emily Blunt oozing English charm aplenty with a Lizzie satchel swinging from her shoulder on the set of 'Salmon Fishing in the Yemen' . The craze quickly caught on because next it was Emily’s co-star Kristin Scott Thomas sporting the classic Bayswater to tres-sophisticated results.
And over on t'other side of the pond, the Brit actresses are in good company. Just yesterday, Grazia Daily was drooling over Blake Lively’s colourful display on the ‘Gossip Girl’ set - and guess which designer she turned to to accessorise her look? Yep, it was Mulbs. Her vibrant blue version of Bosworth’s Leah Hobo bag from the label’s A/W '10 collection created a buzz from the moment it came down the catwalk, and now that our crush-du-jour has her mitts on one, it’s just moved up to the top of Grazia’s wish-list. It’s the very thing for tackling that tricky transition from spring/summer to autumn/winter, no? Because, seriously, what better colour-pop could there be to warm up your winter-wear than a bright bag (preferably of the Mulberry variety, obvs)?
Oh, and here’s another. Grazia Daily’s vigilant Mulberry-watch has drawn our beady eye to new-girl-on-the-block, Janet Montgomery. The up-and-coming actress has already bagged herself a role alongside Natalie Portman in ‘Black Swan’ (aka: the film with Rodarte costumes!) and with this inimitable Alexa shoulder clutch already decorating her daywear, her style status is set to soar. Yes, thumbs up indeed, Janet!
So we say thank you, ladies. You’ve just reaffirmed our belief that a Mulberry bag is the 365-days-a-year wonder buy. As if we needed convincing...
