We’ve already bleated on about Angelina Jolie’s beautiful bouffant at yesterday's Parisian premiere of Salt but what of her dress, we hear you ask? Well, after sporting that glorious Amanda Wakeley gown in our very own city, we’re mightily happy to see Ange is still shimmering away in ivory. This time, her silk dress comes courtesy of Pamella Roland, complete with embellished straps on one side leading to a plunging neckline, and finished off with metallic Ferragamo heels. Nice! Like Amanda, we reckon Pamella will be as pleased as punch with this red carpet coup. In fact, it was only a few weeks ago that the designer confessed to Hollywood Scoop that “dressing Angelina Jolie for the red carpet would be amazing.” Yep, we reckon she must be one chuffed lady this morning...
Onto another Hollywood heavy-hitter, we present Julia Roberts. Last time we saw her, she was all Legs McGee in her sleek DVF shorts, but at the Toyko press conference for ‘Eat, Love, Pray’ last night, the actress sported a more yummy-mummy approach in a print silk shift from Dries Van Noten's A/W '10 collection, unexpectedly accessorised with, er, green wedges. Hm, we’re not so convinced by the frumpy florals on Jules - which look do you prefer?
From Legs McGee to Nanny McPhee, NYC saw the premiere of Maggie Gyllenhaal’s new flick yesterday. And doesn’t the actress look divine in this black Lanvin asymmetric gown? We reckon so. She kept things beautifully understated by adding a pair of patent nude heels and a striking dark lip. Simples! But catch a glimpse of the back view and you'll see a strip of funky metallic detailing. She's a clever one, is our Mags.
Time to get your sunnies at the ready because we skip onto a blaze of brights courtesy of Blake Lively and Leighton Meester larking about the set of Gossip Girl. Well, that’s a whole lotta yellow! For this fash-installment, the girls have gone full-on with their vivid ensembles, which are getting Grazia in the mood for a stroll in the Autumn sun (sun?! if only!). But is this matchy-matchy display too garish for your liking? Even their minions are colour co-ordinated with the leaves, for heaven’s sake! Wait, is that Mandy from Hollyoaks?! Only time will tell folks, so let us know your thoughts below!
