Holy moly! Drew Barrymore had us a-gawp this morning thanks to what can only be described as her sheer fantabulousness. Always one to keep things interesting without going overboard, here's Drew rocking the red carpet at yesterday's Nylon party, held in honour of her as their current cover girl. This time, she brought that retro-tastic-ness in a snazzy multi-coloured dress of glimmering chain-mail for a bonafide ‘60s vibe. The demure knee-length hem and those long sleeves may look demure but after a quick spin, you'll spy a bit of back-flashing for subtle sexiness. And how blooming marvellous are those lashings of glossy locks?! MAJOR SWOON!
Joining Dreamy Drew at the bash were Lake Bell and Shenae Grimes who decided to keep it a tad more casual...and honestly, a little nuts. Because while Lake looked great cracking out her pins in a floral mini skirt, that body-warmer-over-a-shirt combo is rather perplexing. And Shenae? Well, the 90201 star sported a pair of cut-off shorts over her black leotard (so far, so normal) but topped it off with what appears to be a musty throw from her sofa >rolls eyes<
Over at an intimate dinner in Hollywood, Ashley Greene was schmoozing alongside Kelly Osbourne to celebrate ASOS’s new U.S. site. Remember when the Twilight actress wowed Grazia Daily as the brand’s cover star sporting an edgy-cool, er, re-vamp? Well, her sartorial skills were put to good use once again as she was the party’s hostess with the mostess, kitted out in a black shift with gold-embellished collar (from ASOS, of course). Kelly also turned to the Brit brand for her lady-like look consisting of an embroidered black and cream lace dress and matching heels, perfectly accessorised with her matching lavender-grey tresses swept into an elegant bun. You’ve done us proud, girls.
We conclude with this shocker. A checked grey suit is typically a style stars reserve only for court appearances, right? Well, trust Rihanna to decide school-professor-esque tailoring would be a good choice for a night on the tiles – and guess what? Teamed with that flash of red hair and matching lippy, it comes off as directional. We think... Ok frankly, the dodgy fit and the boresville formality has us most confused, especially considering Ri Ri’s typically outrageous snazziness (see yesterday’s lime green tie-dye number for evidence). So is the songstress turning to Chuck Bass for style inspiration? Is she aiming for sensible androgyny in an attempt to ease all that video controversy? Or is she actually going to court after being arrested by the Fashion Police? We need answers!
