Last Night's Best Dressed: chic on the street!

06 August 2010

Kicking off today’s selection of the most recent Best Dressers, we present the lovely Lily Cole. Our favourite clever clogs model brought a dollop of glamour to Gatwick Airport yesterday to unveil the winners of the Gatwick Runway Models competition, and boy did she show the newbies how it’s done! She took to the catwalk in this animal print frock by Mango, which perfectly compliments her gorgeous red locks, teamed with a pair of peep-toe booties from Dune. Yep, once again Lily’s high street look proves she’s a girl after our own heart - as if we couldn't love her more.

And here’s another starlet rocking high street wears. Turning to our great British stores for a girlie statement, we spotted Rihanna working this floral skirt from none other than our beloved Topshop. At last a little bit of Ri Ri’s wardrobe can be ours! Might give the red hair a miss this time though...

We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again – the plaid shirt is a staple for every girl’s wardrobe, and who better to hammer the point home than this duo? Just check (ha!) out both Jessica Alba and Cheryl Cole bringing a boyish twist to their daywear while out and about in LA yesterday, but who's your fave? We’re particularly loving Chezza’s take on the trend, thanks to those bright tones and the turned up collar and cuffs for a preppy edgy – but does the ladylike tote and strappy sandals ruin that laidback vibe? You tell us!
