Back in December when Grazia Daily came face to face with fashion icon and career phoenix, Victoria Beckham, at the British Fashion Awards back in December we put to her the fateful question:

Would David ever bring out a fashion collection?

To which the fragrant Mrs Beckham replied;

“David has a line that he works on with a designer – for Addias. David loves fashion, I mean he loves clothes, but to be a designer – that is not something he would ever want to do.

I think he’s got enough on his plate at the moment. Never say never, but not right now!”

Even so, we still weren't very surprised when we saw reports all over the internet that Victoria has indeed persuaded her husband to pick up a needle and thread after all.

We’d already heard rumours that she was planning to rope her children into working on the collection

But, probably realising that child labour is illegal, at the same time noticing that since the world cup, MR Beckham has nothing better to do than sit around resting his poorly Achilles tendons (?) and constructing the Seven Wonders of the World out of lego, a brain wave occurred to the savvy former Spice Girl.

MENSWEAR! “By Jove, I think I’ve got it” (We imagined she shrieked) So apparently “David is hoping to produce a range of men’s couture clothing of fitted suits, smart day wear and an evening range – and Victoria thinks it will go down a storm.” David’s collection will slot in with Victoria’s ranges of sunglasses, jeans and ready to wear (let us know if we’ve missed anything).
