Ta Daaaa! Erin Fetherstone for Juicy Couture!

30 July 2010

When we excitedly broke the news that Erin Fetherstone was appointed creative consultant for Juicy Couture back in May, we attempted a form a mental picture of how velour tracksuits and Erin’s elegant, edgy designs might work together. Fast forward a couple of months and we've been thankfully put out of our misery.

Ta daaaaaa! The slinky velour evening dresses form part of an 11-piece capsule collection – the stand-out look being this champagne coloured 1940s-like frock, as worn by Erin to the Met Ball no less, as a sort of test drive (dress drive?)

Miss Fetherstone told WWD she was inspired by the wild goings-on of the 1970s, and one style icon in particular. Apparently the be-fringed designer’s mood board included pics of the very gorgeous Bianca Jagger at Studio 54. FABULOSO! We're loving Erin reworking of Juicy Couture's signature velour into dresses and other fine sporty looks. Can't wait to see the rest of the collection!
