There’s often a bit of jostling when it comes to scheduling in fashion weeks, with New York, London, Milan and Paris all desperate for a full seven days. Great news then, for Milan, which was squished into a long weekend in February, will be getting its full week back for September.
The event "will represent the desire of everyone in fashion to have a strong and competitive Fashion Week over seven days," the National Chamber of Italian Fashion (CMNI) said in a statement. The shows will also move to the city centre to 16th-century Palazzo dei Giureconsulti near Milan landmarks such as La Scala opera house and the northern city's iconic Gothic cathedral as well as three other nearby venues, the statement said. We’re loving the proposed bike-sharing scheme for journalists covering the shows. We’re wondering if one can really cycle in five inch Louboutins..?
