We admit it. Jessica Biel is one of the those girls whose style doesn't often elicit an excitable response from Team Grazia, despite rarely putting a fashion foot wrong. It's no secret she's one of Hollywood's hottest starlets, and thumbs up for bagging her own Trousersnake, but she hasn't quite reached the heady heights of those Tinseltown trendsetters like Diane Kruger or SJP. But hold your horses! Recently, Ms Biel's really been knocking our socks off and luckily for us, the promo trail for 'The A-Team' seems to be neverending, for here she is on the red carpet yesterday, kitted out in another corker for the film's Spanish premiere in Madrid. Take a look for yourselves:
Ok, so it's hardly a gob-smacker but thank heavens it's not frumpy. In fact, it's a glam-yet-classy treasure we'd imagine finding in Marion Cotillard's (uber-sophisticated) wardrobe, which is praise indeed. But what really makes us love this number is that it's from French fashion house Vionnet, the revolutionary pioneers of subtle-yet-sensual womenswear.
But we're not the only fans. Carey Mulligan and Hilary Swank both wore Vionnet designs on the same night, plus remember when Rachel McAdams and Madam Cotillard doubled up too? And it seems the brand is making quite the habit of their double whammies. Just this weekend, Cameron Diaz stepped out in a super-short Resort 2011 dress and now La Biel has followed suit with her linen frock from the same collection. What a triumph!
As for the dress itself, we're loving that signature sculptural draping and the playful poofy shoulder - tick, tick, tick! What's more, the black silk crêpe de chine belt and hem provide the perfect contrast to all that ivory, ensuring the frock doesn't look like a billowing bedsheet, and those Sergio Rossi 'Lola' pumps are all that's needed for a final touch of lady-like elegance. Oh and look! There's Mr Bradley Cooper on hand to give us girls an extra treat (well, hello blue eyes!).
So why not make like JB and get your hands on one of Vionnet's ingenious designs from Net-a-Porter.com? Here are our faves for bagging the look. French chic, here we come!
