Congratulations to Eudon Choi who has been named as this season’s winner of Vauxhall Fashion Scout’s Merit Award. He follows in the more-than-promising footsteps of previous winners William Tempest and David Koma and will present his new collection in a catwalk show and exhibition space during London and Paris Fashion Weeks.
The RCA-graduate designer has worked as a senior designer for Sienna and Savannah Miller’s Twenty8Twelve label and caught the industry’s attention during last season’s group show of the Vauxhall schedule with his MA collection being instantly snapped up by London’s Dover Street Market. ““I am incredibly excited to win the Merit Award”, Eudon said on today’s announcement. “Being given the opportunity to do a solo show during London Fashion Week, with my second full collection, is more than I could have dreamed of.”
We can’t wait to see Eudon’s SS11 collection this September especially as the Merit Award’s inaugural winner, William Tempest will be showing his at New York for the very first time. Known for his super-sculptured, super-sexy dresses that are adored by Kate Moss, Victoria Beckham and Emma Watson, London-based Tempest is sure to take New York by storm (excuse the pun, we know our fashion and we know our Shakespeare!). We will miss not seeing William’s name in the schedule and are convinced New York girls will love him just as much but there’s nothing that makes us feel more like proud big sisters than seeing our homegrown talent ‘do good’ internationally!
