Nothing melts our stone-cold fashion hearts quite like a little cuddly animal. And no, before you even go there, we don’t like wearing them, just petting them! For autumn/winter we’ve seen plenty of animal knitted jumpers (think embroidered fox heads on cardis) and the like at different press days, and we’ll never forget Topshop’s Farthing Wood extravaganza for their Unique catwalk show either. But who'd have thought we’d share this ultra-cutesy-tween obsession with Mrs-Nuclear-Wintour! Turns out, the doyenne of all things stylish has put her stamp of approval on Harvey Nichols' latest exclusive (and may we say sweetest) collection yet – Hi Panda.
Designed by famous Chinese brand consultant and designer JI-JI, Hi Panda celebrates it’s 10 year anniversary this year and as part of an exhibition on Harvey Nichols new souped-up fourth floor you’ll find everything from the bright pop-art silk screen prints to the cute hoodies (they’ll make a great pressie we think) and the figurines that proved to be a sell-out at Paris’s uber-hip store, Colette. JI JI’s inspiration ranges from post-1980s China to… well, his crazy dreams! So that’d explain the slightly bizarre but brightly coloured policitcal slant his ‘Evil’ panda but so ruddy perfect for a bit of frivolous Friday fun!
