It was confirmed yesterday that Naomi Campbell will testify at the war crimes trial of Charles Taylor, the former president of Liberia. Taylor is accused of supporting the rebel forces in Sierra Leone's 11 year civil war in exchange for natural resources, including diamonds. Campbell has been summoned to testify after being accused of receiving a so-called 'blood diamond' from Taylor in 1997, while the pair were at an event in South Africa. She has denied the charges. The supermodel's public relations representatives, The Outside Organisation, confirmed yesterday that Campbell will testify on July 29th, in The Hague.
