PARlS SHOWS HOW TO TRAVEL lN STYLE...

01 July 2010

Paris Hilton has never exactly been our No.1 fashion icon. Her Barbie-meets-Katie Price wardrobe, matchy matchy leopard prints and Essex girl footwear have always kept her waaaaay off our style radar. When it comes to squillionairess fashionistas, we'll take the Olsen twins every time....

But last night Paris tweeted a picture that changed all of that.

Now, this might look like an image from some new Louis Vuitton campaign. But it's actually the heiress is all packed up and ready to go to... The World Cup (no, really). Of course, it goes without saying that we would kill for a matching (or even, as shown, casually mismatching) set of LV's monogrammed luggage (we're saying that with a French accent). Even the word 'trunk' is enough to cause us to sigh with dreamy contentment. We especially love the tiny boxy vanity case (the ultimate carry-on for inflight touch-ups on one's private jet); the round hat-box style case; the multicoloured black Takashi Murakami series suitcase; and the chest freezer sized bad boy right at the back. We'd place some serious cash on betting that many of those THlRTEEN pieces have been custom made by the Vuitton craftsmen especially to Miss Hilton's specifications.

And Paris' floppy 70s hat and giant shades add a perfect Joan Collins touch of travelling elegance to the whole scenario. The heiress posted the pic on Twitter with the caption "All Packed and Ready for The World Cup! So excited!"

Ms Hilton, we've never loved you more...
