Grazia at Glasto: Blog 3

28 June 2010

What a 40th birthday bash – Glastonbury totally rocked its socks off this weekend. Standout sets from Dizzee Rascal (with Florence), Muse, Scissor Sisters (plus Kylie) and Stevie Wonder instantly became Glasto ‘moments’ and Kate Moss, the woman who single handedly fashioned festival chic for the rest of us channeled her signature look to perfection. Throw unbroken sunshine into the mix and you’ve hit Glasto Gold.

At times it seemed like almost every woman on Worthy farm was in denim shorts, but there’s no one who wears a pair of hot pants better than Kate (black ones this time with fishnets) and Alexa wasn’t far behind, teaming her cut-offs with a cool cotton Lacoste granddad shirt.

By the time everyone hit Mick Jones from The Clash’s birthday bash (hosted by PlayStation3 SingStar), Kate had thrown a black leather tailcoat over the top and Alexa was in her Barbour and Chanel lace up ankle boots.

The day after I headed over to Henry Holland’s winnebago to hang out and Pixie gave me a little preview of the new Autumn-Winter House of Holland hosiery line. Not many of us would dare to pull off her look, but if you’ve got it like Pixie does, go for it!

With a heavy heart, dusty feet and an armful of wristbands it was soon time to head back home. Goodness knows how they’ll top that next year but if anyone can, it’s Michael and Emily Eavis. Happy 40th Glasto!
