A further McQueen Development; with Sarah Burton’s leadership of the Alexander McQueen brand underway – one menswear collection under her belt and the recent outfit for Gaga, a new designer has been appointed for McQ – the diffusion line.
Pina Ferlisi’s CV includes designing for Marc by Marc Jacobs, senior posts at Gap, Coach and most recently Generra. Her specialty, it seems, is catering for the younger, hipper end of the market. She’s credited with bringing back a bit of pizzazz to the ultra-basics at Gap, and Generra’s colourful design heritage (before Ferlisi's time, we admit) includes the invention of the changing-colour Global Hypercolour t shirts back in the ‘80s.
