Last Night’s Best Dressed: DVF decorates the town red!

The rather regal surroundings of London’s Claridges saw the divinely dressed 'It'-erati celebrate Diane Von Furstenberg’s interior designs for the luxurious hotel last night. And what a fabulous affair it was, schweedie, packed full of sheer glamour and bursting with A-listers galore. So let’s take a look at the Best Dressers...

We begin with Gwyneth Paltrow snuggling up to BFF Madonna (sweet!) While Gwynnie opted for a two-tone minidress of black and navy pleated layers, Madge did what Madge does best in a classic Bugsy-Malone-stylee created by a tailored trouser suit, striped shirt and tilted fedora. Ah-may-zinggg. Suddenly those rumours about her modelling for Dolce and Gabbana menswear don’t seem so ludicrous...

Victoria Beckham also made quite the splash in her super-tight corseted dress by Giles, teamed with saucy thigh high boots. Look familiar? That’s because VB donned the very same frock for that bizarre LG fashion mobile ad AND wore the orange version last September, not to mention it’s from the AW09 runway. SHOCK-ing! Surely this is unacceptable behaviour from the First Lady of Brit fashion? We are flabbergasted.

But we take comfort in the sumptuous Dasha Zhukova who was positively glowing in her strapless minidress, vamped up by a pair of killer leopard print strappy sandals – oh, what we wouldn’t give for those legs! - and of course, Caroline Sieber looking fit for a summer wedding with an abundance of cute-as-pie prettiness conjured up by her neutral number with pretty knotted detailing. We knew we could rely on these two.

Annabelle Nielson and Natalia Vodianova enlivened the place with their bold injection of colour, and what a treat it is! Especially as both dresses showcased a pinch of uniqueness with a sultry one-shouldered style. No doubt DVF was suitably impressed.

Speaking of which, all eyes were on Fashionista of the Night, Ms VF herself. So thank heavens she looked this wonderous in a Beetlejuice-tastic floaty frock of monochrome stripes with a feathered hem for her trademark glam. And the final style-statement-maker of the day is Tamara Mellon and her no fuss yet oh-so-chic maxi dress, which nips at the waist with a delicate gathered detailing. So all that’s needed to round off the Madam of Accessories outfit? A leopard print clutch. Simples!
