On this fine Friday morning, what should appear to satisfy our hungry eyes? A stream of fabulously attired celebrities, that’s what! So without further ado, take a well-deserved break (it is almost lunch time, after all) and have a gander at the Best Dressers from yesterday's festivities...
Three cheers for the style mavericks! For here stands the ever fashion forward Ashley Olsen accessorising her (strangely shapeless) trench with a Carrie-galvanting-around-Morocco turban, alongside Alexa Chung working a high-waisted pair of leather YSL shorts at the World Premiere of Yves Saint Laurent's new fragrance 'Belle D'Opium' in New York last night.
Side note: call us nit-pickers but we are a tad perplexed by those dangly bits on said shorts (or should that be lederhosen?). Did the Chung have a run in with a shredder on the way, we wonder... But no, wait - what are we saying?! This is the Fashwan Icon Du Jour so it MUST be part of her super stylish plan, no?
Ashley and Alexa were joined by the more traditionally dressed Maggie Gyllenhaal and Whitney Port who delivered a full-on charm assault, naturally. We’re particularly happy to see Maggie G in this floaty frock of such frothy, feminine proportions - but does she pull it off? And it goes without saying that Whitters has done us proud once again so a congratulatory thumbs up to her and those beautiful locks of hers.
Everyone’s favourite tween idol, Kristen Stewart was continuing the Twilight tour in Italy yesterday (seriously, does this thing never end?!) and thanks must be given for her marvellous double whammy. For starters, she ditched the grunge by slipping into this adorable tweed frock of sheer layers from J. Mendel’s AW10 collection before swapping it for a beautiful Marchesa minidress of tulle froofery (yes!). KStew, sweet and sexy all in one go? Wonders will never cease. More please!
The final Best Dresser of the day is Angelina Megan at the premiere of her new flick, 'Jonah Hex'. In classic Fox-style, she flaunted the, er, assets that bagged her that Armani deal *eye-roll* And quite honestly, we’re so blinded by the bulging contents of that plunging neckline, our analytical skills have gone right out the window. Then again, what else is there to say other than Hello Scarlett Woman! So yes, that is the sound of the male nation drooling. Well done Megan – mission accomplished.
