Of course, we are all au fait with designer sunglasses and spectacles. And who doesn’t like a bit of bling for their eyewear? But now Christian Dior are taking blingy branding to a whole new level – by selling logoed contact lenses.
The tiny designer optical discs have gold edging and the Parisian Fashion house’s tiny CD monogram. ‘Cosmetic’ contact lenses certainly had a moment a few years ago, with crazy coloured lenses and prints becoming inexplicably popular amongst show-offs/a certain kind of clubber.
It’s not known if the lenses create the effect of logo-ing your entire outlook so that everything in your world appears to have been purchased from the luxury label - “look at my lovely Dior logoed computer monitor, look at my lovely Dior logoed sandwiches, etc etc”, but it seems the fashion house and cosmetics powerbrand has finally found a way to dress the last inches of your face..
