High street and designer collaborations are nothing new, from Matthew Williamson, Stella McCartney and Comme des Garcons at H&M over the years, to Jil Sander at Uniqlo, and Jonathan Saunders, Christopher Kane and Meadham Kirchoff (plus many more) at Topshop.
THIS news, though, seems a bit of a surprise. . . the very cute and adorable fashion blogger Bryanboy, you know, the label-obsessed Filipino diva who went from posting style reports from his bedroom to the jet-setting, shoulder-rubbing, fashwan insider lifestyle has tantalisingly tweeted the following titbit:
“OK. Not-so-big reveal. I'm very excited to be collaborating with H&M for a project you'll find out SOON. :-)"
This isn’t the first time a high street store has teamed up with a blogger for a fashion line – Garance Dore's tees hit the racks at Gap not so long ago. ALTHOUGH we can’t omit to mention the fact that Garance turns her hand to photography and illustration, where as BB is more of a camp institution, (like Butlins?) whose talents are verbal dexterity, and of course posing iconically with giant handbags. So that must be it then – either a range of extra-bitchy slogan tees or posing in a campaign for a range of luggage (!) Mystery solved.
