For six years the lovely folk at River Island have been championing new talent and sponsoring the fashion-a-thon that is Graduate Fashion Week. And no fiercer way could they show their support this season than with the addition of my-milkshake-brings-all-the-boys-to-the-yard Kelis (have you seen her latest video for Acapella – as shot by Rankin & Chris Cottam?). Ferosh. As a one time model (she was scouted at the tender age of 14) and with her wild style ways she’s the perfect candidate to model the new GFW collection that rolls out into stores on May 24th. So the deal is this - previous GFW designers who are now employed as part of River Island design team get the chance to flex their creative muscles and produce a range of directional pieces (just check out the current shoe collection by Sophia Grace here – we lurve it). We’re always keen to snap every item up, but those red wedge boot really have our name scrawled in indelible ink all over ‘em!
