Gaga to turn hat maker?

Gaga in a Phillip Treacy lace face mask at the Brit Awards

Lady Gaga is no stranger to discovering strange rumours about herself, but as far as we can tell, this one has been instigated by her good self.

Such a fan of wicky wacky headgear, and Phillip Treacy hats in particular (he made her silver lobster) is the poker-faced Lady, that she has requested the chance to go and help him at his studio, in the form of the most overdressed intern ever.

Yes, apparently Gaga approached the legendary milliner at the Brit Awards and asked him to let her come and work in his studio. Nothing has been confirmed yet, it’s been put about that Mr Treacy tends to take on students who are good at sewing, rather than wearing his decorative bonnets.

Another star who reportedly expressed an interest in starting at the bottom of the fashion ladder was Kanye West, who wanted to launch a line of clothes and apparently wrote to fashion houses in Europe - including Louis Vuitton on London's Bond Street - asking for experience.
Kanye said: “I'm going to go and take an internship and just do something that's like completely normal.

Very admirable Kanye, although we are not sure whether he actually did go and work on the shop floor in the end . . .
