And the Karl crew is back! After whirling a few boules in the hazy Mediterranean sun on the eve of the Chanel Cruise show, the usual suspects returned for another fashion romp yesterday, taking their FROW seats to ogle the latest of Lagerfeld's collections paraded through the streets of St Tropez. Here’s our pick of the event’s Best Dressers...
First up, we bring you another delight from the delectable Diane Kruger. The cute ensemble she rocked for the pre-show celebrations really got us in the mood for summer style but this snazzy little number has us dying to hit the dance floor (preferably in St Tropez, please). It’s super short, it’s sparkling with paillettes, and it’s from Chanel’s Pre-Fall 2010 collection. What's not to like?
Chanel ambassador Vanessa Paradis’ beachy-hair and barely-there make-up was in perfect synchrony with the models who strutted down the catwalk but her super swanky suit with a perfectly feminine fit reminds us she’s ready for business in true Coco style (always a good idea when Uncle K’s around). Top marks for the quilted Chanel bag draped across the body too, and how gorgeous is that luxurious satin trim, adding an extra dollop of sophistication? Very gorgeous, we say.
Over to Leigh Lezark who added another demonstration of dark sophistication to her repertoire by giving black and grey panels a spin in this figure-fitting shift. And although she looked set for a day in a (very chic) office, her trademark sunnies and the loose waves in her usually sleek bob make the look summer appropriate.
Oh glorious! Check out this unexpected delight courtesy of Caroline Sieber and her take on knee high gladiator sandals. The intertwining leather straps work perfectly with the pretty floral design on her elegant silver frock, which ensures she keeps it classy. What a stunner!
For our final offering, we have a new addition to the Lagerfeld family tree -- Elisa Sednaoui. The Italian model, who stars in Karl’s short film 'Remember Now', wafted in, bringing some exquisite summery tones with her. The youthful frock of frothy chiffon from the oh-so-sweet SS10 collection reminds us of a similar style Kate Bosworth donned earlier this year but Elisa makes it her own thanks to the dual length hem and those striking violet shoes, which have us seriously swooning. C’est magnifique ladies!
So well done to you Mr Karl, you’ve secured another triumph. Remember to check back here for more from Saint Tropez where our very own Style Director is reporting from the fashion frontline.
