A week in the style of…. Kate Bosworth

07 May 2010

We just couldn’t ignore it. We didn’t want to. Kate Bosworth has worn more fantastic outfits this week than we’ve had cups of tea or political debates and we couldn’t be prouder. Like doting fashion parents, we’ve long been in love with the little blonde beauty and her effortlessly stylish but not slavishly trendy fashion sense. This week has been a perfect example of Bosworth brilliance. From full on red carpet glamour for the Met Gala to leisurely post-party jeans and a tee, her every sartorial move is an enviable one. So, join us while we take a look at KB’s week in style…

For the Met Gala, Kate’s take on the “All American Woman” theme was realised in a 1930s inspired nude beaded Valentino Couture dress, old school glamourpuss finger waved hair, a satin clutch and elegant Van Cleef & Arpels jewels.

We’ve seen J Brand’s Houlihan cargo jeans on many A-list legs recently, but Kate’s combination of tie dye top, roman sandals, nude Mulberry ‘Leah’ bag (she’s been wearing that non stop this past fornight!) and aviators have really nailed the luxe combat trend.

Making the spring/summer trend for all things denim look understated and girly, Kate’s denim body under a springy floral skirt works for us! Oh and there’s the Ray Ban aviators again!

We’re so jealous of this one. Barely a second into store and one of Prada’s archive ‘Print Collection’ dresses has been snapped up by our number one girl. Hers is a 1950s inspired violet argyle print.

Who else could wear red leather pants in such a chic way? Her Pre Fall Valentino leathers are complemented and calmed down by a nude lace top from the same look and stappy barely there sandals.

Next up, a lesson in denim hot pants. Thanks again, Kate. Her trick? Grown up court shoes and a billowing blouse for instant chic-ness.
